about

a single shawl, woven for one

Wool & Linen is an intentional design journey for a single, bespoke handwoven meditation shawl. Rather than choosing a finished product from a shelf, you move through four quiet choices — fibre, structure, colour, and intention — and the cloth is woven to hold those decisions. It is a slow, considered process: each shawl is made by hand on a loom, one thread at a time, and takes weeks to complete.

This is for meditators, yoga practitioners, and anyone who wants a textile made for their practice — a shawl that keeps you warm through long sits, that carries the meaning you have woven into it, and that ages gently with use. It is also for the person who values knowing where a thing comes from: who made it, from what, and why.

Wool & Linen is built and woven by a single maker. I design the cloth, dye and prepare the fibre, set the loom, and weave each piece myself, here in New Zealand. There is no factory, no stock, and no rush — only one shawl at a time, made for one person.
